Do you how many countries are still ruled by hereditary monarchy? Britain, Canada, New Zealand, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden are only part of the long list. The title “kingdom” comes at the beginning of these countries. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a country reigned by kings with thrones and palaces.
Iran was also ruled by a series of monarchs and kings for about 2500 years before becoming an Islamic Republic after a popular revolution led by Imam Khomeini in 1979. The Iranian leaders live a simple life just like ordinary people. The lives of Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Khamenei have always been role models for those who truly want to lead a simple and humble life.
